Cindy Mizuhara
Cindy, a Bay Area native, joined DoveLewis in 1999. While getting her Master's degree, Cindy compared enrichment devices for individually housed research monkeys. She went to be hired as an Environmental Enrichment Specialist for Research Primates at UCSF. Simultaneously, she worked at a local veterinary emergency room, initially as a "summer job" that turned into a long-term commitment. She also dedicated a decade to volunteering at the San Francisco Children's Zoo every Friday.
After relocating to Seattle, Cindy worked at an emergency clinic for over 3 years before settling in Oregon and at DoveLewis. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys gardening, building birdhouses, hiking, and reading, with a lingering ambition to resume swimming, though she humorously admits to battling a bit of laziness with that hobby!
