November Learning Lecture: Strategies for Healing and Resilience

Navigating the Aftermath: Strategies for Healing and Resilience after Trauma

Join us for a lecture with Debrah Lee, LCSW, Director of the Veterinary Well-Being Program! Veterinary professionals face unique challenges and an increased risk of exposure to stressful or potentially traumatic experiences. In this session, Debrah will unpack the neurobiology of trauma and its long-term effects—helping participants better understand how these experiences impact mental health and overall well-being. You’ll also learn practical tools and strategies for fostering resilience, promoting recovery, and supporting yourself and your team.

Plus, this session also includes a sensory craft activity to make and take home.

Free  |  Food + drinks provided  | Please RSVP online.

We invite all doctors, technicians, managers and support staff in the veterinary community to attend our Learning Lectures. This program is RACE-approved for one hour of veterinary and technician continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. If you have questions about the CE requirements for your state, we recommend reaching out to your state's veterinary board.

If you have questions, please contact us at questions@dovelewis.org or 971-255-5934.

Please sign up for our DoveReport email newsletter to be notified of our next lecture.

Memorial Art Workshop

One of the best ways to navigate your grief when you lose a pet is by memorializing them through art. Research shows that art and healing come from the same source. In fact, it is now known that when a person is creating art or is healing, this person will emit the same brain wave patterns. Art and healing are so powerful that hospitals are incorporating art into patient care.
