Shanna Zongo

Shanna Zongo is the Senior Recruiter at DoveLewis and joined DoveLewis in 2021. She proactively seeks and identifies candidates who align with our hospital's mission and goals. Shanna leads our recruitment strategic planning, helps problem-solve to address critical talent gaps, and advocates for DoveLewis in the business and talent market. 

Outside of work, Shanna is an artist and an avid coffee enthusiast. She paints watercolors, drinks lattes, and likes to read high fantasy. But as a still fairly new mom, she also does a whole lot of trips to the park and reads the same picture books so many times she can recite them by heart!

"As someone who stumbled my way into a career and industry I really love on accident, it's an absolute privilege to help other people find their next great career move.  I've also become really fond of working for a nonprofit and the impact that has on every aspect of the work we do and way the organization is run.  Getting to come to work every day with people who are here out of passion has helped me see employment in a whole new light and I'm passionate about getting to share that with other people."

A Journey Into HR

• Shanna has a BFA in Sequential Art (AKA comic books, graphic novels, and animation!)
• That being said, Shanna took a restaurant job while freelancing after college, and accidentally found herself promoted to manager and that got her started on a 10-year stint in customer service and management. 
• Shanna then switched to grocery and spent about 7 years at New Seasons Market. All of her HR and recruiting skills were gained on the job as a hiring manager!
