Thanks to Tito’s Handmade Vodka and to over 100 donors who helped us meet our matching goal. But our work isn’t done yet. The need for financial assistance far outweighs the resources we have available. That is why we are seeking to raise $ 2 million dollars for the VAF endowment. We are currently 40% to goal.

Our friends at Tito’s Handmade Vodka want to ensure that pets and their people have access to emergency veterinary care when they need help the most. Not just today, but for the next 50 years. To help celebrate DoveLewis’ 50th anniversary, Tito’s will match every gift to the Velvet Assistance Fund Endowment up to $50,000! Make your gift before December 31st 2023!
An endowment is a permanent fund where the assets are invested to provide earnings in perpetuity. Each year, any remaining income beyond the annual spending distribution and the endowment management fee, is re-invested to grow the original gift for future generations.
In the Fall of 2022, thanks to the generous estate gift from Malcolm Marquis, DoveLewis was able to establish an endowment to support financial assistance for low-income pet owners.
Our goal is to create a $2 million dollar endowment. This could help provide several months of financial support to clients in need every year, FOREVER! If we surpass this goal, it will allow us to expand the program so we can increase the number of pets and families we are able to serve.
