Ron Morgan

Ron Morgan, president and CEO of DoveLewis, is a native Oregonian and proud graduate of the University of Oregon. He has more than 40 years of experience in human and veterinary health care, including V.P. of Sales and Marketing for Banfield Pet Hospitals where he served on the senior management team that oversaw operations of more than 350 veterinary hospitals throughout the country. Additional experience includes several senior management positions in human health care. At PacifiCare Health Systems he was the sales and marketing director of a $270 million product line. At PACC Health Plans he was  the V.P. of Business Development, V.P. of Sales and Marketing, and Chief Operating Officer for the organization’s joint venture company. His early career focused on marketing, public relations and communication.

Ron joined DoveLewis in 2003 as the Executive Director. Under his leadership, DoveLewis has grown its reputation as a trusted local nonprofit and nationally esteemed hospital. This year, the hospital will treat nearly 26,000 patients, and Ron, with the support of the Board of Directors, is shepherding the team through a significant expansion in an effort to help even more animals in Oregon and southwest Washington. Additional mission-driven accomplishments include the launch of atdove.org, an online educational platform that trains over 34,000 veterinary professionals annually, and the founding of Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams. Ron’s greatest satisfaction, however, comes from working alongside the organization’s talented team members and to exceeding customers’ expectations.

Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their two children.

Gratitude and growth

"DoveLewis is such a unique organization and one I feel very privileged to lead. I am fortunate to work with people at the top of their field as well as meet so many wonderful people who support DoveLewis as donors and volunteers. With the help of our Board of Directors we hope to continue to serve our community for years to come.”
