Stacy Montgomerie

Stacy Ann Montgomerie is a staff veterinarian at DoveLewis. Dr. Montgomerie joined DoveLewis in 2016 and has been an ER and ICU DVM since graduating in 2012. While in school, she participated in the Colorado State University hospice service to provide comfort for pets and their families during difficult times. Prior to joining DoveLewis, Dr. Montgomerie worked in emergency medicine at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado and interned at Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital. In January 2015, Dr. Montgomerie published “What is Your Diagnosis” in the Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association. Passionate about effective client communication, Dr. Montgomerie is a clinical communications instructor for both DVMs and Students. Dr. Montgomerie also earned her hospice/palliative care certification via the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care  (IAAHPC) in 2022.

Outside of work, Dr. Montgomerie enjoys mushroom foraging, hiking, pickling/fermentation, crocheting/ knitting and travel, and skeleton preparation/articulation. She also enjoys spending time with her partner and pets.
