Joanie Abrams

Joanie joined DoveLewis as a ​Certified Veterinary Technician in ​2009. Joanie's favorite aspect of working at DoveLewis is being able to perform advanced medicine and teach hands-on technical skills to newer technicians. 

Outside of work, Joanie likes to spend time outdoors, backpacking and camping. Most of her time is spent caring for her 3 children.

• Anesthesia and pain control
• Special interest in Neonate, Exotic, and Critical Anesthesia.

Education

• Advanced certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care since 2013
• Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology, 2009

Pets

• Cavalier King Charles Spaniels – Lillian and Fiona
• Cranky old sibling cats – Smudge and Squishy
