This lecture, presented by Neurology Technician Courtney Menke, CVT, VTS (ECC), will explain what a seizure is by breaking down its stages and helping you recognize each phase. We will discuss common causes of seizures and the diagnostic processes used to identify underlying issues, including blood work and imaging. You will gain insight into the various medications available for managing seizures, including their mechanisms and potential side effects. Finally, we will cover essential client communication strategies to help you guide pet owners in understanding and managing their pet's condition.

Memorial Art Workshop

One of the best ways to navigate your grief when you lose a pet is by memorializing them through art. Research shows that art and healing come from the same source. In fact, it is now known that when a person is creating art or is healing, this person will emit the same brain wave patterns. Art and healing are so powerful that hospitals are incorporating art into patient care.
