Caring for Flat-Faced Friends

Flat-faced breeds like French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, and Pugs are adored for their quirky charm—but they come with unique health challenges, too. In this educational lecture with DoveLewis Veterinarian Stacy Montgomerie, DVM, CHPV, we’ll explore common medical issues affecting Brachycephalic breeds, including respiratory conditions, skin and eye problems, and heat intolerance. Attendees will also learn what to expect in terms of veterinary care, how to plan for potential surgeries or emergencies, and tips for keeping these pets comfortable, healthy, and safe year-round. This event is open to all ages and animal experience levels.

This meeting will take place at DoveLewis' new facility, Whiskers, which is located directly across the street from our Pettygrove location. The community room is located on the second floor.

Memorial Art Workshop

One of the best ways to navigate your grief when you lose a pet is by memorializing them through art. Research shows that art and healing come from the same source. In fact, it is now known that when a person is creating art or is healing, this person will emit the same brain wave patterns. Art and healing are so powerful that hospitals are incorporating art into patient care.
