August Learning Lecture: Updates in Feline Diabetes Management

Presented by Phil Mick, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), Veterinary Internist at DoveLewis.

The management of feline diabetes has evolved rapidly, giving veterinarians more treatment and monitoring options than ever before. This lecture reviews the pathophysiology of feline diabetes and how it guides treatment selection, with practical updates on SGLT2 inhibitors, basal insulin therapies, and continuous glucose monitoring. The session also explores feline hypersomatotropism (acromegaly), including when to suspect it, how to diagnose it, and current treatment options.

Come early for complimentary food and drinks, and stay for the lecture from 7 – 8 PM.

Free  |  Food + drinks provided  | Please RSVP online.

We invite all doctors, technicians, managers, and support staff in the veterinary community to attend our Learning Lectures. This program is RACE approved for one hour of veterinarian and veterinary technician continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. If you have questions about the CE requirements for your state, we recommend reaching out to your state's veterinary board.

If you have questions, please contact us at questions@dovelewis.org.

Please sign up for our DoveReport email newsletter to be notified of our next lecture.

Memorial Art Workshop

One of the best ways to navigate your grief when you lose a pet is by memorializing them through art. Research shows that art and healing come from the same source. In fact, it is now known that when a person is creating art or is healing, this person will emit the same brain wave patterns. Art and healing are so powerful that hospitals are incorporating art into patient care.
