Leptospirosis: A Review of Clinical Signs, Diagnostic Testing, Prevention, and Treatment

In this one hour lecture presented by Veterinary Internist Staci Goussev, DVM, DACVIM, we'll cover a thorough review of leptospirosis. Starting with a discussion of the etiology and epidemiology, we'll then focus on clinical presentation and confirmatory testing, including the microscopic agglutination test and PCR testing. Near the end of the lecture, we'll cover prevention and treatment, and the public health risks of this zoonotic disease.
