Jessica Waters
Jessica joined DoveLewis as a CVT in 2014 after graduating from Portland Community College. Before starting tech school, Jessica gained experience in a mixed and large animal practice which provided her with unique challenges and opportunities for professional growth. While in school, she worked at another local emergency clinic to expand her real-world knowledge before finally completing her final externship at DoveLewis. Shortly after starting at DoveLewis, Jessica knew she had found where she wanted to be.
After spending several years in the ER/ICU, Jessica transitioned to the role of Technician Training Specialist in 2017. She loves welcoming new team members, making them feel at home, sharing DoveLewis’ history, and watching them grow as they acquire new skills.
Jessica's favorite aspect of working at DoveLewis is the diversity in cases we see, the quality of medicine, and working alongside incredibly passionate coworkers. Jessica also enjoys community outreach and teaching CPR to local veterinary clinics. Outside of work, Jessica likes traveling, exploring new places, restoring and recreating vintage wood windows, knitting, sewing, and many other things.
