DoveLewis’ canine therapy teams visit hospitals and homeless shelters for Christmas  

Enid Traisman, the founder and director of the DoveLewis Pet Loss Support Program, is retiring December 31. To say we will miss her is a huge understatement.

In past years, DoveLewis doctors have seen everything from a dog who ate a turkey leg whole, to a dog who ate a whole pie (and part of the pie dish), to a cat who ate the string from the turkey. Thankfully, each patient recovered fully.

Nonprofit Emergency and Specialty Hospital, DoveLewis, nears the end of a year-long expansion that addresses the complex demands of unprecedented growth and a changing industry.

DoveLewis and Mtn Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas and are celebrating the dedicated work of Rojo the Llama and other helpful Portland animals.
