Corgi Walk

This year’s Corgi Walk was a huge success! The event raised $4,652 for DoveLewis and the Columbia River Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club-Corgi Rescue. Specials thanks to Lynde Paule for organizing this wonderful event! Mark your calendars for the 4th annual Corgi Walk, slated for Saturday, August 20, 2011.

Tour de Lab is a bicycle tour of the three Lucky Lab brew pubs benefiting DoveLewis. You’ll journey along urban routes on this 18–mile ride. But if you feel you really need to earn that pint, you can choose the 40–mile Big Dog course.

Dogs Forest Fun Runs of Hillsboro has worked with local veterinarians to develop a healthy weight loss program for pooches. At least one day of Dogs Forest Fun Runs is recommended per week for four to six months. The Biggest Doggie Weigh Down promotes the goal and maintenance of a healthy weight and lifestyle through natural exercise that your dog will enjoy. Being overweight can pose significant risks to your dog’s health. Overweight dogs are at higher risk for diabetes, and the extra weight they carry on their bodies can make them uncomfortable. For a $20 fee, Dogs Forest Fun Runs takes your dog on forest runs on their fenced 6-acre property in Hillsboro. These runs can help your dog lose weight safely with natural exercise. On every run, a percentage of the proceeds will benefit DoveLewis and the Oregon Humane Society.
